Got the fake engine painted and fitted up, not 100% happy, the oil tank is too silver and want to add more weathering to the crankcase, getting close.

Wasn’t happy with the engine’s paint job so pulled the whole thing apart
and redid her. Took her for a ride down to the lagoon and took some pic’s.

Not sure why I haven't read up on this build til now.
I didn't want to overburden your alerts with likes, but I really like everything about this build. Makes me want to cut up more old frames.

Today was the completion of a bit of a dream for me with this one. What I set out to achieve, as close as possible replica of a 1914 Indian board track racer. To convert her from traditional to broad tracker she gets different handle bars, fenders removed apart from the cut down rear one and the smaller seat, ready to race!

While she is a bit nicer to ride in the traditional mode, I just love the stripped back look of the board trackers, just something rough and raw about them. Imagine roaring around an oval wooden track throttle wide open at 100mph with other bikes close by, the crowds, the smell, the noise and the fear!

Always annoyed me that you could see the motor controller on this thing, had a light build moment and figured I could hide it in a headlight. Modified a primus copper stove tank, she had the perfect patina.
