I have a ladies Shelby but I've been looking for a men's shelby for a while. I live 30 miles from Shelby, OH so I figure I should have one.

A couple weeks ago I acquired a Gamble's Hiawatha frame, tank, and chainguard from the RR for sale section...

It's been stripped down and painted black. It spent some time with a chemical stripper.

I acquired some shelby part from a ladies bike. Fenders, rack, fork and truss, shelby sprocket, bars and neck. They seem to be from a later bike but should work fine.

The Fenders spent some time in the OA bath and didn't turn out too bad. Still rough but I like them. I found some spray paint that I thought would match the Fenders and rack and painted up the frame.

How it its this evening...

I need to thread another inch of the fork but my die doesn't want to thread onto it. Maybe the old forks were a different pitch? I'll figure it out.

More to come...

Awesome project, makes me want to get off my butt and fix my 39 Shelby Traveler :D.

Looks nice! That frame spent some time in Memphis with a friend of mine! Looks much better now!

Beautiful ride
