I've been wanting to build a lowrider for a long time, and have finally decided to just do it. I'll be working with a Ruff Cycles Esco V5.0 frame (http://store.ruff-cycles.com/ruff-frames/ruff-cycles-frame-esco.html), and will give her a Tropical Turquoise coat, complimented by chrome & white components. I look forward to sharing my project with all of you and hope to get some positive feedback, as well as tips and suggestions.

Welcome to RRB. I don't think I have seen that Ruff frame before. I'm looking forward to seeing your vision on this build.

I'm not sure what method you used to post you pic, but it isn't showing up. I had to click on the link to see it.

Thanks! Yeah, I guess I'm not sure how to post a Pic. I always get a link.

Thanks! I was adding from my media that was already uploaded into an album on the site.

So, I just received my so, so sexy saddle from Project 346 (http://store.ruff-cycles.com/brands/project346.html).

I can't wait until I get to sit on this

My next step will be deciding on how I'll setup my drivetrain. I'd like to run a Shimano Nexus 7 or 8, or even go for the Alfine, but I really, really want to go with a 144 spoke lacing, but am limited to just 36 on the standard hubs. I am, however, hoping to hear back from Kahaki (https://kahaki.pl), a custom bike shop based out of Poland (I live in Germany) that does some really nice wheel builds.

This is an example of one of the wheels they've built (https://kahaki.pl/wheels/#Showcase), which is running a Shimano Alfine 8 hub and 108 spokes, so once I hear back from them, I hope to know which direction to go in and what little customisations I'll have to do on the frame (cable guides, etc), as I'm planning on riding with a suicide shifter.

Sorry that there's been no progress in the last week. I've been trying to get a hold of some wheel builders in Poland, but either they're on vacation or they don't want my money . I'm also deciding exactly what for wheels I'd like, whether I'll go for disc brakes or not, 26" or 28" :headbang:the list goes on...in the mean time, you can go check out my side project (http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/geisha-gangs-street-find.107427/). I found her while coming home from the bar the other night covered in rust, without a saddle or a rear wheel :113: and since the color was calling to me, I had to take her home to be nurtured.

If anyone knows of any reputable wheel builders in Munich, that can also do fabrication and custom work, I'd appreciate any tip
