I had a few minutes over the weekend to do some parts cleaning.

Moved onto the rear rim. I have a schwinn s-7 with a red band hub. It’s a greasy mess! I took it apart and it had bright red grease in it. It also has a destroyed bearing on the drive side. Not sure if I’ll fix it or find another rim. It also has a few bent spokes.

Since I typically build Schwinns I might fix this rim [emoji2373]

The clamp will hold more securely when allowed to close fully. I'd use a thick washer or narrow collar on the outside of the clamp to move it to a side.
Coming along nicely. Wish I had a bike that color. Thought about using the color it in a hammered paint.

I’ll move it to the outside so it will close. Just using it as a guide for now. I like this color now that it’s clean. At first it looked so blah

Then I realized that I’d never get the spokes back in it

I managed to lace one side up

Then I got them both done

I’ve never done this before. It’s not too wobbly. I think I can get it trued [emoji41]

I was watching a vampire movie with Susan Sarandon it and kept getting distracted

Wheel building while watching a vampire movie? That's second level bike mechanics!

...you had me at 'Susan Sarandon'...
