This type of crank assembly goes inside of a clincher style early 20's-30's crank housing. The diameter is smaller thatn a normal crank housing. Measure it and see what the diameter of the housing ends are. They are probably smaller than your typical crank housing. here's a picture of mine to show you what a clincher style crank is....
