WHAZUP!!!! This site rules cuz I built my ratrod bike last thanksgiving and I wondered if anyone else had one. Our digital cam takes pics too big but I've got some on my phone I'll post later. The bike was a 26" girls murry that i cut up in 7 pieces, then welded back together to be streched. Then painted primer red and sports ape hangers, an old MX seat and rusty wheels with an old Shwin slick. I build bikes of all kinds and just finished a Drag racing bike for a friend's son. I have a Columbia that I want to enter in the Ratrod bike build off, realy excited about it too! I've also checked out a lot of everyone's rides and have yet to see one I didn't like! They're all awsome! So thanks for this site, I live in a small town and not a lot of people here don't do custom bikes, but I can share them here with ya'll!!!

Man that is cool! I wish some of you guys that can cut and weld frames lived near me! I hear you Big Red Daddy on the small town thing. At least you stand out in a crowd! I found one kindred spirit so far. He works at the local Midas. Welcome to the Forum.

bigdaddyred, I saw in your posting that you are from K-ville. I'm Kendalltucky native myself. Now I live in Indy. It's cool to see someone else from there doing the same stuff. PM me and I can show you some of my work.

I'd say get a little welder and start burnin' some stuff up! I have a 110 flux wire welder, a hacksaw and a grinder and acording to Atomic Zombie (check out his site if you already haven't) that's all you need! My welder was $100 and it works good. Ther's books too and I'd offer any advice. With bike tubes, I dont make more than 1/4 or 1/2 inch welds at a time so I don't burn through. And it doesn't matter what your welds look like 'cus you'll end up smothing them out with a grinder. So get some scrap ehaust pieces and as my instructor said; "burn 'n learn"!
