I have collected enough parts to start my project. I have a 1947 Monark frame. This is my first Restoration Project and I hope that all of you can help me out.:cool:

I'm still looking for parts. Need wheels but I'm not sure what to get. Anyone know what Hub was used in 1947?

Got the wheels of this bike. New Dep hubs front and rear. Rims are drop center and are painted silver along with the spokes. Rideable, original tires and tubes. Score :mrgreen: Also has the axle nuts.

I'm on the final stretch for this project. My goal is to get it up to the Murfreesboro show in two weeks, Tomorrow I will work on my talk get get my decals put on then i will be minutes from being done.

nice, here is a picture of my mock up

right now is in the paint shop, going with the red and tan paint job, not a restoration but kind of a limited edition eye catching restoration look since i used parts from different bikes, rear rack from monark rocket (looks better to me), monark firestone fenders, monark roadster (i needed the clearence for the chain since i'm using the ND triplspeed conversion unit), CWC skiptooth chain ring, repop fork (had it beefed up locally), persons seat with a troxel crash rail :p, repop tank and guess who did the tank decals 8) and before it went to get painted i got what i call the three face rims normally seen on old columbia bikes and got them laced with ND model d hub to go with the triplspeed, front fender light i got on ebay (taiwan made) looks some what similar to the original.

i forgot the crank, cups and bearings are schwinn since i got it on ebay and they had been rechromed,
cant wait to get it back, will do the diamond shape on the seat tube on decal and the decal that goes on the front fork

Also can these decals be clear coated over?

Everything is together and on he bike. All that's left is to find the correct rear rack and 2 more sholder bolts for the fork. Then it will be rideable. I will post pictures soon!!! :wink:
