It seems that when you are a newbie that discover american bicycle history you have to; at one tIme or another; fall in love with stingrays.

It's time!!!! :D
I totally fell in love with early ones and needed to have one!!! Or something that looks like that.

Found this one here last october and it finally arrived in january....

Since then i was hunting parts to build it in a mid 60's kustom style (64-65) Sorry, i'm not into choppers at the moment :mrgreen: but i admit it looks cool as is.

Didn't found all needed parts for the moment but had to start working on it...


I think it had a life full of adventures.

Some updates...

after stripping, frame has been sanded to remove rust

it has been smoothed as much as possible

Then, primer...silver basecoat...
..and... FLAKES!!!! I love flakes!!!! :mrgreen: And of course a lot of clear :D

After some weeks,... some more sanding,

and this is how it look now, with some tangerine candy and of course more clear... :D

That's it for now, it has to dry for some weeks again before next step and still have to wait for parts....
