The best part of the story is that the previous owners had done a full customization.

I had a 1963 Ford Galaxy stolen, after the restoration...
11 years later it was recovered, in a barn, full of chickens. I cried.

That's something isn't it? me and my dad were just talking about this same story the other day. A member in our Car Club had his 36 ford which was unfinished at the time inside a covered trailer, it was stolen, trailer with car inside it. about a year later he got it back. It's a long story, but in short... A great ending.

This part made me instantly angry, then I felt better, but still a bit angry that they even thought to bring this up for a second: "He said the DMV notified him that he is liable for 30 years of registration fees, but then backed off that claim."

I hope that part was a joke that the owner didn't "get."
