Summer is over, recovered from all the BBQ's, family visiting, birthdays. Time to build another bike. I sold my Huffman and now need something for our monthly "Bike Party" ride. I picked up this CWC frame and Behive springer from Terry66.

Waiting on parts now. Peaked fenders and Solana tires should be here any day.

I can't wait to see this bike together. Paint looks awesome.

Your the one who out bid me on the torrington stem. Bike looks nice.

I don't think I was in the same auction, I was the lone bidder and got it at the minimum bid (a steal). I think the seller didn't list it well as I found it searching something else. These are the auctions I love to find.

I picked up these near perfect (not one dent) peaked fenders. I was having doubts about repainting these and using them on this bike until I looked further and noticed they were blue underneath the black and white. They must have been repainted at one time and are not original.

Fitting the curved strut fenders on the behive was a little tougher than I thought it would be. I tried mounting the struts to the front and rear pivots like the Higgins fenders, but that just didn't look right with the curved struts and they were just a little too long as we'll. In the relaxed position the struts were just a tiny bit too short to reach the axle mount point. I knew I wanted to make the fork rigid to prevent the bottoming others have had, so I made a strut to go inside the spring (copied thatismytruck's design). I made it a little long to extend the spring just enough to have the struts land on the axel bolt.

I tried reversing the curve on the the front strut. Not sure if I like it or not.

Started getting this together. Have another project to do for Christmas so I have to get busy. I removed the gold stripe on the forks after I took the pics they just didn't look right.

Tried a couple of seats and this Troxel seems to be the best fit. I need to pull it apart to recover and clean and paint the carriage.

Took a trip to Goodwill today and picked up a couple of leather bags for $6 each, should be able to cover 4 seats with these.
