What is this seat...worth keeping?

I dont know, i like the seat...but is the frame worth keeping and someday recovering?

I just like the style

If you join the 'Brooks Saddles' group on Flickr someone should be able to say if it is one or not.
Definately worth keeping, if properly re-covered you'll have a great saddle.

looks like a Brooks or Wrights saddle frame...older B73-style

yup looks like an old brooks...but they also had some that looked like those on some of the early 1900 bikes :?
im sure ive seen what it came off of but i cant find the pictures.......

Well i pulled it off an old truss frame crassly sent me...surprising nobody has seen it yet!

I was in my LBS today and they have an old bike on display and the saddle has the same style of front spring, the brand of the saddle is "Lion".

you just have to ask yourself two things

1 is it worth it??
2 for just what kind of build are you planning to put it on?


I myself would save it! I would first strip it down ....sandblast it, and then either rattle can it , powdercoat it or chrome it. each depends on your pocket book and the build:? for me there are soo many colours right now I would powder coat it :wink: :mrgreen: .

could I do it for you ......yes....but I belive that it would be cheaper if you found somebody local to do it. Then send it off to me for some cool stitches and material. :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :wink:
