Got this JC Higgins from fellow member. Not sure of year or model. Probably my build off 9 frame.

Nice start to a nice bike! ^ ^ ^
From CABE members I am told from the "MOSR", it was built by Murray in Ohio for Sears in 1952 based on the "R" designation. The skiptooth chain ring would have been correct. The correct tank and rack would be Murray specific.

kinda frankenbike but just built this one and finished it.
1956 i believe j.c. Higgins bones
tank is reversed Columbia
huffy front sprocket.
Schwinn typhoon cord rear tire
and road bike front wheel and tire.
Columbia handlebars.
seat is off a rallye sandpiper but i suspect ti is actually an exerciser seat.
rear rack and pedals im unsure but their cool.

Nice bikes , Didn't kno you could find those kind of bikes in the UK ?

They pop up now and again on ebay but very rarely. I actually brought the top one back from NY and slowly had friends bring back original parts for me as I only had the frame and forks. The second one I actually bought on ebay, a guy had found it in a barn over here...no idea how it ended up in the UK.

Finally pulled the 51 Color Flow down from the rafters and decided to put it back together.
Bought this from Steve Kiener's collection a couple of years ago at the Eden NC Swap.

This needed a little derusting and waxing.
Replacement rims and handlebar. Added a Batwing but, need to get the proper fender bracket now.

Still she came out real nice. Thanks Steve (RIP).

And the wife loves it....what?
And why wouldn't she....it's a beautiful all original paint survivor.

Mounted the combo batwing on the fender. Looks better there for sure.
