Chainguard with finish paint, I'll let it cure out and then scuff it up a bit in order to match the tank. Still waiting on the frame to come back from LORAC.

Frame back from powder coating. Threads on fork stem are a little messed up and need to be run through a die for clean up.

Looking great, I really like the paint you used on the frame.

Baby moons at rear, have a different plan for front. These are truck center caps, 18 wheeler type.

I'll have to adjust the mounting bracket to clear chainguard I see.

I've thought about doing this same thing for awhile, I like it.
Can't wait to see how they look in the final bike....

Mockup in progress...put bottom bracket and crank together. Not sure if pedals are keepers or not. Test fit the chainguard with hubcaps. Still need to age the guard to match tank. The chainring has some patina to it so I think it is a final piece.

The hammered powder coat looks GREAT and that red matching very well.

Looking awesome! Question, how many teeth on on that Huffman chainring?
Thanks. Not sure on the tooth pitch, I'll have to count em.

Thanks x2. I'm pretty satisfied with the finish. The photos don't really show the effect of clear coated rust that well. The chainguard is still too fresh. I need to tone it down. I have a phobia about messing up good looking stuff though.

Seems to be 52 teeth, rear cog will be 22T.

Cleaned up the 59 Ford rear fender ornaments and started the mounting brackets.

I'm thinking axle mounting, either fixed or swinging/self centering. If I use fenders one may be the "hood ornament". Might add some paint in the trailing edge?

Since the tank doesn't quite fit the frame I'm thinking of doing a small filler at the front between the two halves. Found some cork flooring scraps. Laminated a couple together to get correct thickness. Nothing in the rules about the bike having to be all metal.

Copper Vein PC on the frame? Looks Great! I used in on a set of rims & it's very durable.
Yes, Copper Vein by LORAC. Thanks Pick.
