A few years ago I bought a Murray Fire Cat locally...mostly because it had Huffy rims and tires on it :D My wife saw it and said she liked it, and wanted me to restore it for her to ride at swap meets and stuff. I started restoring it in November last year. I knew I wouldn't finish before the...

Do NOT buy this is you want a functioning Schwinn Overload Tube for your 5-Speed bike: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172280320623 This is just a hollow tube made to LOOK like an overload tube. I had a hilarious exchange with this seller...I asked if it has a spring in it like the originals. He...

Went down to grab some bolts I needed and the owner had this little bugger he found...a Huffy Twin Stick! Not mint, but definitely usable. Both sides work, the plate for the Park Brake side slides right over and back :D

When they buy this for over $2k and find out the wheelie bar is a fake made from sissy bars: http://www.ebay.com/itm/141768448796?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I like the comment in the auction that this stuff was in climate controlled storage from 67-68 when the...

    Wheelie Bar PSA...

Not a Wham-O...despite the word "rare" being thrown around: http://www.ebay.com/itm/WHAMO-SCHWINN-WHEELIE-BAR-Raleigh-Sears-Stingray-Krate-/262000099928?hash=item3d006c4258 Looks to be some sissy bars made into a wheelie bar, this isn't anything vintage.

    Otasco Drag-o-o-o-n Decals...

Got a call from Bruce Crawford the decal guy up here in Ohio, he needed an Otasco Drag-o-o-o-n decal stencil for a guy in Texas restoring a bike. The guy had the frame and guard, but no decals at all. Though a series of trades I ended up with that Drag-o-o-o-n coaster that was on eBay maybe a...

    Hangman Noose Sissy Bar PSA...

This little guy here is NOT a used Hangman Noose. That is some sort of repop the seller made. The noose is all wrong, the point at the top is too, as well as the mounting holes on the bottom. Those mounting holes are way off actually. So don't spend your money on this...

    Got some headbadge decals made...

Stingrayjoe needed a Murray Eliminator headbadge decal, so I sent a headbadge to Bruce the local decal guy, along with a BF Goodrich Challenger decal, and he made these. Pretty nice job! I think he got the color for the middle of the Murray badge spot on!

http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/murray-eliminator-mark-ii-five-5-speed.90738/ Joe is a LONG bike muscle bike guy, from back before I started in this hobby. He was probably the first guy I remember to jump ship from Schwinn Sting-Rays to Murray and Huffy bikes. He was way...

    My friend's original Polo Bike!

I went out to see my bike shop owner friend today for lunch. When I was there I mentioned that I told his story about the Murray with the solo polo seat and hi rise bars. He said "Did I show you the picture of that?" He hadn't, and sent me this! He said his dad took that bike right out of...
