    New Ruff Porucho build

It was made for a bike called the 'frinton flyer', I found a cruiser on ebay with the forks, so snapped it up immediately and then sold everthing apart from the forks and wheels

    VDC Cruiser bars question

oh those are yours, nice. VDC bars seem to have quite an upsweep, if you see them on the first pic i attached, they look really swept up.

    VDC Cruiser bars question

thanks, I checked those out, lots of info, but the upsweep is still a mystery, I'll post over also on the museum see if anyone has a pair and can guess the sweep angle.

with a straight fork, yeah, maybe your feet might hit, you'd have to check it first before spending big on any forks.

    VDC Cruiser bars question

Does anyone know the upsweep on VDC cruiser bars? Someone has a pair of maybe VDC bars for sale, so I want to check if they're real or jekyll

    New Ruff Porucho build

Hi thanks. It wasn't for ground clearance as the new ruff porucho frames have moved the bb forwards and up, so no need to worry about that with the new frames. I thought the 29s just looked mean and big but still athletic enough. It's still a cruiser though so when cornering you'll always have...

    New Ruff Porucho build

I bought some water slide paper and printed off some JC Higgins tank pipes, I just sprayed it with some lacquer. I might eventually spray the tank, but for now I'll just leave it like this whilst the build is incomplete.

Boardtracker / Antique motorcycle style bicycle build

Beautiful build, I see you've deleted the Ruff Skulls & Logo from the rear stays, looks nice and clean. I might do the same, not sure, not sure if I'd want to put something else back in there, maybe a lazer cut something. Maybe an old coin.

Wow serious skills, I have no engineering skills at all, so going to go for rear hub motor and big battery stack in the tank. keeping it simple and as wallet friendly as I can.

    New Ruff Porucho build

Thanks. I will eventually bring the bars to a tube bender to have the rake of the bends brought back quite some degrees, at the moment the position is ok, it's not as comfortable as my original bike, but it's still fine, I'm 6ft 1" so i'm not overly stretched. I like the low look, so trying to...

Thanks. I hear you but that'd mean insurance, tax and noise. So it'll be electric.

Finally have the seat sorted with a 400lb spring on the seat which bounces just right, and a 500lb on the forks. The new shape tanks are nicer than the series 1s, as they taper in towards the knees, much more athletic looking.

    New Ruff Porucho build

Seat has been a pain, the supplier includes 650 lbs 750 and 850 coils, all too hard. I finally found out that a solo seat spring shock should be 300 lbs, it's just the rider after all. Only compatible spring I have found is 400lbs, I weigh 200, so hoping it'll be ok. I have had to have the seat...

Had the seat welded on. Getting some different coils though as these are too hard. Plus the seat pan needs re-enforcing. For the fork suspension I had custom mounts made by Stewarts Motorcycles of Sunbury London, he engineered them really nicely.

Yes I had those (in first pic) on my first Porucho, they were crazy heavy, as heavy as the frame if not more.

Bought this seat, it's on its way, so will get it welded on, just hoping clearances don't make it too problematic, we'll see. I did a mock up in photoshop.
