    Prewar Schwinn What model?

That's an interesting frame with a straight downtube, but curved seatstays and chainstays? I don't see that particular combo here, but '36-'38 sounds right. http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1893_1940/1938_00.html You could ask over on thecabe.com for more info.

    Prewar Schwinn LaSalle

Your C-model turned out great! Makes you wonder why someone painted it blue  1936 is certainly close, but I think it would have had flat fender braces. Maybe an older hub on a 1937 or 38? It would be interesting to see the what the date on the crank is... My C-model has a W serial...

    Possible Pre-War Schwinn?

Cool. Looks like it's probably a C-model... little hard to tell at this angle, but it's got the hallmarks -- straight downtube, straight chainstays, curved seat stays. Lack of a truss rod fork could mean it's from a cheaper "off brand"... no matter though, same frame. Great foundation for a...

    Pulled out of a ravine

I'm not really an expert either, but I've seen that fork on 2 different "Fleet" badged 1938s. Maybe it was a way to make the non-Schwinn badged ones cheaper? You might ask the question over at thecabe.com if it really matters to you. Not that it was guaranteed original, but here's what my...

    Pulled out of a ravine

Moot, but the fork could be original... I've seen that style on some of the non-Schwinn headbadge versions. I say Clunk it! http://clunkers.net/billsavage.html

    Pulled out of a ravine

Looks like a Schwinn seat cluster, and With the straight seat and chainstays and the straight downtube, I'd guess Motorbike too: http://www.trfindley.com/flschwinn_1893_1940/1936_motorbike_$1700_2000.html

    Old Schwinn "Bomber"

Cool C-model! I'll be looking forward to your build. This is my "Fleet" C-model if you haven't run across it. I think it's a '38. http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23538&p=237144#p237144 http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15388&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

    80's... 70's... 60's... 50's... Prewar!

    Klunker opinions wanted...

Looks like a fun project :) Like others have said, I'd go with a BMX fork for handling and truss rod fork for for looks. My '39 handles nicer that my '38... the '38 is kinda twitchy.

How about no chain guard? Or is that what you're torn about? Truss rods will look great! Keep us klunker fans posted.

Outstanding bomber! The scripted cantis make it for me. Reminds me of Otis Guy's repack bike: http://clunkers.net/otisg_dx.html
