I saw a Mongoose Lil Bubba a couple days ago. $79 at walmart. Tires are 16 x 3. Start 'em early.
Source material? Build ideas?

Many of these small bikes are a few bearings short. I suggest pulling the hubs apart and replacing the bearings with more. Really some of the front hubs will have cages with just 5 balls in them. That's marginally okay for a 40 pound rider but not for adults. What a way to save 2 cents.

I see Toys R Us has the nearly the same bike in different colors and a different name. I guess that's one way to prevent price comparison shopping. Mongoose Erupt.

Waiting to see the first fat-minivelo.

Looking closer at the pics, it looks like they are just fat tires on standard rims, be better if the rims were fat too... :(

@kelvin hahnel is finishing off one I started in the WBO, it has 14" pit bike wheels.

And only 20 spokes per wheel. Probably the 20" wheels and tires off the walmart fatbike would work for a minivelo if a frame wide enough to be found or made.

They now have another one that might be better for tires, 20 x 3".

Nothing tough enough in 16", but in 20" they have this bike too, tires look good for the street.
