New arrival to the forum and bike ownership. I found this beauty and based off serial # it’s a 1952 Chicago Schwinn Western Flyer but It looks to be missing the truss rods ? and the light on fender. Also I was reading other posts and the pedals don’t look original or the seat either. Any information from you veterans would be great.

A good-looking survivor. The saddle and pedals have been replaced along with the truss rods, which may have been removed to better accommodate a front basket at some point. That's pretty common on these step-through bikes.

Is the fork bent back a little? Looks like it, but might just be the photo.

I can't be sure from the photo, but it may have Schwinn wheels as well. Check for S-7 marking on the rim, or the tires for size. Schwinn 1 3/4" and common 1.75" are not interchangeable.

Forks seem fine must be angle of pic. TY
