1959 Columbia Straight bar 24"

Picked up this sweet 24" Columbia a little while ago and am just getting to shoot pics of it. Original paint. Troxel Seat.

I put on some ape hangers (have original style bars too) and I also put on a NOS Goodyear 'Air Wheel' 24X2.125 in the rear and a NOS Michigan Safetytread 24X1.75 in the front.

Other than that it is all original. I dig it. Took it for a couple mile ride on the bike trails, I am 6 ft and it was a nice ride.

It would be a pretty sweet motorized project, but I am likely going to sell this one to get parts for some other custom projects.

Cool cruiser, with being 6 ft tall do you ever kick the front fender when your turning? My son tried riding our 24 in schwinn and he kept kicking the fenders of course he wears size 13 shoes.

Thanks! I never noticed kicking the front fender (size 11), but the ape hangers certainly help it from feeling too cramped! I've been riding 20" banana stuff of late, so I am use to smaller rides.
