Picked this up today. 1963 Deluxe American all original, but missing horn and headlight.
I really want one of these. Are these known as the American or American deluxe, also they were just 63-64 in blue and red right?
Schwinn Deluxe American. I did some more research today
and found out they came in red, blue and black in 1962 and 1963.
In 1964 they came in red, blue and coppertone.

"Deluxe" had the fancier extras on it, a plain old American wont have a tank. Seen them in red, blue, black and coppertone. Blue is my favorite out of those though. You could also pay more for a springer version from the dealer (the dealer just swapped the fork out)
