My brother was making some room and dug up a couple of his older BMX cruisers. Both are 24 inch, 1- a Hutch and 2- a GT.

Anyone have any idea of model names etc on the hutch? Any things to search for to help identify?....

Both were purchased from local bike shop employees and have been impeccably maintained.

GT serial number starts as 185.....

So January 1985 production I assume?

Both have Odyssey Pitbull brakes, and with a zoom you can see the Hutch name stamp on the rear hanger popping out

I would assume that there is probably a number in that space between the 6 & 3...making it a 7digit SN.

That Hutch is a definate beauty! Probably going to be taking legitimate offers on both, as he wants to make some room.......

According to the link it puts it at a 1985....wow! Over 30yrs old and still a beauty!


Anyone know what the specs factory were?.....it has a set of GT hubs on it.....it this typical?

Hutch used either their own branded hubs, or suzue, on their completes...with Araya rims. However, I'm not sure if hutch sold complete 24s in '85...just frames or frame/fork sets.

It does have Araya hoops........so you believe Hutch only sold 24" FnF sets?........

They were supposed to start selling 24s as completes in '83...but I've not seen any literature (catalogs & such) with complete 24s for sale.
