I haven't posted here in quite a while, but I have been building quite a bit lately. I have also ventured into the world of restorations. Being an avid road cyclist, I have been focusing on vintage road bikes. I picked up this 1988 Schwinn Traveler recently, I liked the color, and it looked to have potential. I thought I'd post a few pics, see what you all think.

I found some repro decals, after that some slick white brake cable and its ready for the road
 
Yes, I like it too. That's not the original scheme though is it?? I HAVE a red 95' and a big blue one maybe a 94' I haven't checked its date code.

That is the original paint scheme, but I used a brighter metallic blue. I like the resto-mod style for my bikes. Conti Ultra Sport 27x1 1/8 and modern brake pads to improve the ride. I picked up a 1986 Schwinn Le Tour and the scheme is the opposite of the Traveler, kind of a neat pair.
