-I tested the springs and they work great "on the stiff side"
-The bondo was just to make it all rounded and smooth around the welds
ill leave it ratty (rust/primer) for a bit , the time to find what ill do with the rear and witch paint job ill do ..
i might eventually drop the fork the more i can and widen the chain stay even more to use original drop outs , that way the bike would end up "level" with its right stance .... but this would involve ditching the rear plate witch took time to make ,and redo some new front pivot plates:39::whew:

Fork assembly and testing tomorrow:dance2:

:happy:Thanks guys!

I could not wait and assembled it first thing in the morning.
Work great !! , no slop at all and good spring action:dance2:
i gone back to the softer springs and softer bushings, but ill try to find some chrome "mid-stiff" springs

"LS" fork LAPRISE Sring fork (designed and built in Montreal Québec)

Look's solid as a rock and sweet! Nice work.
Thank you very much ... it also feel like it is  ..well .. exept the rear huffy hub, i think its about to die , but i plan a multispeed kickback hub in the near future.
ill have to take the wheels apart for paint anyways

Looking slick!
I like the top tank graphic the best in whatever color you choose.

piece by piece , its getting there:nod:
"restored" this light
changed the cracked plastic lens for a glass one from a halogen light
PAR38_Energy_Saver_Halogen_Light_Bulbs_2.jpg

still using the original reflective cone and 6-7v light bulb from the bike light
wired it on 4 x AAA batteries all stacked tightly in there , so no cable routing
still need to instal a switch , cause now i just plug the wire on the mounting bolt to switch it on

Love that chain guard!

+2 on the existing chainguard! Good looking bike. If it was sporting some wide, flat mtb bars, I may come and take it to my bike shed to meet some other rats..
