I just bought a vintage seat post clamp off eBay and when I received it I immediately noticed the AS bolt was bent. Initially I was kind pissed but looking at it, it seams like the bolt is either designed bent and kept in place by the two tabs at the bolt head, or the bolt just eventually bent due to the design of the clamp. Would love to know if i need to return it.

While they start out straight, I rarely see used ones that still are, and they seem to keep on working ok... ;-)

If it isn't obviously stretched, I wouldn't sweat it. Seat related fasteners and clamps are often distorted by over torqueing, due to the force needed to keep your big behind from moving them.
