60s Sears Higgins flightliner?

Picked this up last week but cant quite date it. Its in pretty decent shape. Broke down super easy, battery tray is spotless and it even has the headlight lens and rear jewel reflectors. Any help on the date?

Yeah. I had it pegged as a murray immediately. The numbers in the dropout seem to be in a different format than the data on the CABE. Best part was I only paid 25$ for it. Should clean up real good.

Actually looking at the photos in the spaceliner compendium my tank doesn't match either of the shown women's models.

It looks like a 1962 from the SS Number according to the James Hurd catalog book I have, It would of came with a coaster brake and sold for $46.95 brand new.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. It's cleaning up very nicely except for one patch of rust on the rear wheel. Why are the rear wheels always more rusty than the front?

Grease/oil from the chain. When it's not cleaned off it attracts particulates that promote corrosion.

And I would have thought that the grease/oil would have made a protective barrier.

I Believe have the same exact bike. Is your headlight Bezel Pot Metal? I have no idea what year mine is. But I need a tank body (mine is rusted thru) and one reflector for the rear rack
