'82 Schwinn Sidewinder

Was asked to head into the shop and overhaul this 1982 Schwinn Sidewinder and bring it up to rider status. So excited i rolled in as the sun was coming up on my fatty in 20 degree weather...

Nice short ride made fun by the snow. Anyways, it was in great condition, but as with anything older it needs cleaning and repacking of the bearings if you want to ride it and have it last. Also replaced cables, but not housings, and brake pads. Not finished with it yet, still need to do the hubs and true the wheels, but will have some completed shots tomorrow hopefully.

Its mostly reassembled after cleaning, just need to finish the wheels! Maybe this afternoon but probably in the a.m.

I never snapped any after I finished it! I may be rolling by the shop today, if its still on the sales floor I will snap a few for ya

Yes, as I stated in the original post, I was contracted to go in and overhaul it for the shop I wrench at part time. I was there today, and so was the bike... but no pics today, was distracted!

Not yet... a few employees have been drooling over it but no one has made the purchase! Trying to get more vintage and cool stuff out on the floor but we just dont have the customer base for selling cool vintage stuff, mostly people looking for deals and cheap old hybrids.
