My wife has been asking questions about my latest build. I thought she might be annoyed with me, until I said "I'm planning to sell my white bike to make room for the newest build."
Her: "You're planning to sell the white bike? Isn't it pretty lightweight?"
Me: "Not as light as you'd think for an aluminum bike."
Her: "I don't think you should sell the white bike."
Me: "Why not?"
Her: "I just don't think you should sell the white bike."

Even after 39+ years together, she still surprises me sometimes.

They can be funny.
My son and I keep some pigeons.
My wife hated them from day one.
She hated that we built a coop.
Always hated them.
Said they stole her chickens feed....
I got a couple of white ones.
She said they were ok.
Not as “ugly” as our multi colored ones and the “stupid looking” crested ones that we preferred.
Every night I close the door to their coop.
But one night I forgot.
A raccoon family went in and killed all but one bird.
That one has been lonely, it follows me around the yard, and sometimes I look up and see it when out on my bike.
Yesterday she called around found someone with baby white homing pigeons for sale, and then drove almost an hour to buy them.
I hope she starts liking my bikes.
I built her up a pink bike.
She says she loves it, but has only ridden it about three times since Christmas.
She really doesn’t understand why I have more than one.

I think the moral to that story is, we can learn a thing or two about patience from a raccoon!;)
