Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Extending rear drops

Still haven't had the chance to put the rear brackets on yet. :( ..But I did sand the frame, weld on the stand holder(last minute thought) As would be nice NOT to scratch the bike, leaning it every where...Also made a seat clamp...Been doing all those small lil things, that complete a bike...
Sprayed the front fork bits,n bobs...
Hopefully I can have the primer coat on by the the end of the week... :D
Dont have the $$$ for the rims or tires I wanted,so I will just have to make do for now...And not enough time to order... :(

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Extending rear drops

With what you have already achieved I wouldn't get too worried about logistics on wheels and tyres.
I'm betting you have something already that might do the job better than you are thinking at present.

On this one it is going to be hard not to get caught up in the frame work you have done.

Your right!!! I was wanting to use 26" 72spoke fan wheels with Vanilla Boa-G tires...
Instead I have some 26" 144 spoke rims with boring creme cruiser tires...They will do for now, until the funds come in...
Thanx for your compliments.. :D

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Extending rear drops

Well I was able to spend time on the rear drop outs...
I had a small bit of metal left over from the frame so I used that...
Cut them out and they are ready to be welded in tomorrow...

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Extending rear drops

Is it me or does my drops look like eels....
At least they are on,will hopefully grind and clean them up tomorrow...

Put the bike together today...
Noticed 2 things
1.Seem to have some movement in the lower frame(near bottom bracket)I will weld extra flames in for support...
2.Will def need to use a derailleur of some sort to stop the chain from hitting the frame...

I'm also still waiting on mirrors from China ordered 6 weeks ago, also ordered the wrong size rivets,so waiting on the longer ones to finish saddle...

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Extending rear drops

I'm gettin' a birds head image.

Ha, I see the bird now... :D
Need to make it more like flames,me reckons.

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Chain n Bits

Keep changing my mind on this build...
Thinking to put a front guard on?
Also to change the light as the one I purchased is small for this style of bike...

But I could use it as a very bright rear light,or front low down extra lighting,or on another build...

Could also play with this ikea light... :?:

Also have this old suzuki monkey light...

But relized that the light and guard match with the same rust, and chrome...

Mmmmm, I think I might leave those for another build... :!:

I guess I can always cut out flames for the front guard.
Also have a  for the middle support on the handlebars, something a little extra... :D

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ Chain n Bits

Put 'AoD' back together again,to test the chain, etc, and see how she rolls...
Nice and smooth cruising all the way(when it is flat that is) :D
Slight boo boo thou, bars are to long  ...Not much control in that area, being that the bike is so long...way to relaxed stance...
Wobbles are not a good thang...
So 'Noodles' says chomp em down...

'Noodles' is holding the rivets that arrived yesterday,so time to finish the saddle(quite comfy for metal) ...

'Noodles' is not sure if we should put a chain guide on :?: (seems to have clearance,no rubbing)

A 'Noodles' deep in thought  ...mmmm it would keep the chain on the right track...

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ 'Noodles' 2 bits worth...

Sounds like Noodles has a good head on his shoulders

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ 'Noodles' 2 bits worth...

Handlebars are way to long, difficult to control...So made them shorter, also I think they look much better...Was unsure of the style of them...
Before: ( cut off 20cm off)

After: :D

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ 'Noodles' 2 bits worth...

No fair getting Noodles to help out with the build. :x :p
When I saw those pics on my phone yesterday, I was thinking you were going to mount Noodles so that the chain ran through his teeth.
I liked the bars before, but I agree that they look even better now.

thanx Laurie(Momma Jats)
Would love to see more women in the build off...

Re: ANGEL '0' DEATH ~ 'Noodles' 2 bits worth...

Added more support near the bottom bracket...A couple more flames...

Decide to put a chain guide on,as backup...Cut a deraulier in half...

Extended rear drops...Before...

And now,some more flames...

Frame is finished, ready for first coat of rust proofing....Yay!!! :D
