Building a custom bicycle has been on my mind for a couple of years now.
Not so long time ago, i found out this site, and been visiting it every now and then.
When i noticed, it was time to another BUILD OFF....i thought its time to roll up the sleeves...
My text is gonna be FULL of mistakes, because im from Finland...but im sure your gonna get it, what i ment :shock:

So here it starts, my first custom project.

Some modification is already done.
Little bit of cutting, bending and welding.


Planning to make motorcycle style front....lets see how that goes...

Welcome from Finland. I think we have about 7 or 8 or so international players now.
My wife and I have been to Helsinki and Jamsa on vacation/work. Wonderful country and we still make Salmon stew that we discovered there.

Rims&spokes powder painted... and new Schwalbes big apples on...


Paint isnt exact Baby Blue...but something like it.
Blue&white its gonna be...

Here is the bracket for the front "suspension"

I have two this kind of brackets, both are made out of two 2mm thick stainless steel plate, welded together.
When its time....i have to shine those parts.

And here it is coming together


I guess you already know, i welded nuts inside those tubes.

Nowadays everything looks better in pictures
Thanks for praises( is that the right word??)
This is for me some kinda way to learn foreign language too...
And build something cool...
I found old bicycle light, but it was in really bad shape...
Someone had shot it with riffle...two times :x
So little bit of filler, sanding and painting...

Outer ring should be white, but i messed up painting it.
Maybe i just polish it

Looks good for a shot up light after you did the repair. Do you have a before picture of it?

Here it is before painting.

Holes are already filled.
I try to make modern headlight with LED flashlight parts, which i have.

Been working on a fenders, and fender brackets.
Brackets are outside the fender, so i welded a little bolt for the bracket.

Here is the bracket, i bought it from shop...and after little modification...it fits....

And then....painted fenders.

There is already one thing i regret about those fenders...i am pretty sure i cut the rear fender little bit to short....
I wonder why i had to go and cut it at all???
Oh well...fenders are on for look 8)
Maybe next step is to make chain guard... i try to make it out of sheet metal...lets see how that goes.
