The Thunderbirds did a fly-over on the hospital down the street from me for the same reason a few weeks ago. Before they got here one broke free and afterburnered right over and then looped back for them to all fly over in formation. I watched from my backyard. About a week later some ANG F-16s did a fly-over and they flew directly over my house. I watched that from my backyard as well.
I've seen the Blue Angels several times since 1979 at Point Mugu, CA when they were still flying F-4 Phantoms. I have seen the Thunderbirds several times as well, being USAF. I even got to be part of the show once, doing a demo jump at the airshow before they performed.
