ClemTwin Crank System. Made a twin. No advantage unless a chain pops. Still very cool.

Chain tension can be balanced by moving the spindle laterally.

Wanted a redline or mongoose as a 15 year old but anything usa made was .... expensive downunder and settled on a dragster with some bmx parts and a set of red tuffs. One afternoon while working in the family’s record store, dad handed me a new Bmx australia magazine. I entered a contest and won an Australian made quicksilver frame. Awesome powder coated blue finish. Built it up with some nice bits including a set of gold araya wheels with blue nipples. Looked magic but sold it a few years later for $150 to buy a really sweet 10 speed. Pages of the mag contest attached as well a few others taken from web and the Bmx hardcover australia book which i still have. Its the only bmx thing i have from that era.
