Briggs/pedals question for a gas build

I've got a bunch of parts to work with, but haven't quite figured out if it's possible to retain the crank and pedals when using a small (3hp) briggs motor.
It's an older, round-cylinder motor. I really like the look of it.
the frame is a late -30's roadmaster, being able to keep the skip-tooth set up and dog-leg cranks would be great.

the frame is going to need a little stretch, and maybe a loop (for aesthetics mostly), so I can make room if i need to.

if you have a briggs on your build, and kept the cranks, I would love to see how you did it.
 
I have been looking into this too, I wonder it could be done using a flip flop hub with free wheel on one side and a fixed gear on the other.
