I didn't get much done on the Build-Off Bike today...But I did get a couple of sweet rides...A co-worker of mine, who I had previously bought my XL Chopper from, has been bugging me to buy a couple of bikes from him...So today I did:

Feb, 1974 BK***** Speedster:

It's kinda ironic...The bike I built for the RRB Anything Goes Build-Off started out as a Schwinn Speedster:

That one was like a 24" ...

This one is a 31" !! The same size as my fav commuter bike, my '73 Suburban...So this one's a keeper!!

I also bought this:

Aug 19-21, 1957 Schwinn "Tornado"??? Ser# 7E02717:

Again, it's ironic...I'm re-building an RB 2 for my Build-Off Bike...

And a nice ladies saddle:

Supposedly, the Tornado came out in 59, so maybe it's a Tiger. Nice!
Yea, I'm not sure...I don't know if the chain guard is original either...But I like it! :D

I've seen some late '57 ads for the new for '58 Tornado, but it has twin second bars. Yours is probably either a spitfire or Hornet middleweight. And that's a correct 'guard, they used several different ones then.-Adam
