The spokes are twisted and wheels trued up so I slapped on the pedals and a chain and took it for a short spin. One of the pedal spindles is bent so it pedals a little wonky and the coaster brake isn’t connected yet but other than that, it rolls pretty smooth. Doesn’t stop well yet.

That bike looks all at once elegant and tough!

Spent all afternoon and into the evening banging, trimming and forming sheet metal. The rear fender/front fender combo is mounted and finally not rubbing or clanging around on anything.[IMG][IMG][IMG]
The fender combo covers about 270 degrees of the wheel. They are joined together at the original fender crossmember on the seat stay. I also had to remove the fender braces and remount one of them on what was the rear fender. Its too dark now to get a good picture of it all so I’ll have to wait until tomorrow for that.[IMG][IMG]

I did get the grips on it pretty quickly and without much trouble, so “progress”, lol[IMG]

I have a couple of days vacation so it’s time to get things going. Rear fender is fitted, working on the front now.

I REALLY like the look of this bike. Just cool, front to back to front again.

$10 from a local farm equipment scrap yard. By the colour, I think it is from a ‘50’s-60’s era Massey Ferguson. The red is too orange-y for it to be International Harvester.
(The farm boy in me is coming out, lol)[IMG]
Now to figure out how to convert it to LED...

Broke out the back of the bulb and keeping only the lens part, which broke into 4 large pieces in the process.
    Krazy Glue to the rescue!![IMG][IMG]

The front fender is “rat-inating” nicely...

That headlight really 'lens' itself to your build.

You just about have to use a dremel to at least score the back so that the cracks don't travel to the front.
    Cool light! and fenders

That’s exactly how I converted the headlight on the ‘Rust Rocket Deluxe’ auction bike, back in the early days here

Haven't been on here since you got the fenders on it. Love it!
