Covering a single speed in handlebar tape.

So I am building a single speed for a friend. going to trade it for a new tattoo.
the frame is a old 10 speed with cool fittings. I am going to paint the fittings and thinking about wrapping the frame in some kind of handlebar take...anyone done this and a pic would help.

thinking of a dark drown that looks like leather,
any ideas?

i have seen a cool one wrapped with thin sheet cork.Cloth Header wrap would look cool too.Check out Heatshield Products.I'll take your left overs. :lol:

I dunno how good for the frame if it ever got wet. It would hold a lot the water in next to the frame and kind of waste of bar tape? Just my .02

Something similar from a craft shop in a long enough roll to complete the wrap with only one end to cover. :|

How about duct tape? Saw some camouflage colored stuff the other day.
