Has anyone thought that this pandemic has brought a huge bunch of us ratters together this time around? Think about it, we've not been terribly isolated from a whole lot of like-minded individuals, we're having fun, giving encouragement and feeling a closeness to each other. You can't beat that.

I think you are right. It keeps us sane in these crazy times. I've always loved the camaraderie that happens during build off time! Everyone is building their own vaccine!!

This pandemic has in alot of ways brought all of us together. The togetherness of family has risen. From eating meals to being in the house with each other. Even the riots have made us look at the world around us. We might have had blinders on to some of the wounds that have be festering. But we are being open to change.
So what if you need a haircut. We use to be self sufficient. We didn't go to a barber. Most of us did it ourself or manned up and let it grow. [emoji38] This pandemic has done wonders for the world. Blessings to all who lost loved ones because of this scourge. I've had family and friends pass during and because of it.
I salute all of you forging ahead during this time. So raise a glass or a wrench to brotherhood and....GTB!! NAMASTE. PEACE

I have been angry for six months because all my events keep getting cancelled. The build off managed to remind me how friggin happy I was when I joined Ratrod bikes seven years ago and didn't have social media account yet. To be fair a tornado went down my alley and tore off my garage door. As soon as I fixed it so I could get in the shop again I started an entry in the build off and quit politicking

I have a giant toybox out here I forgot about. Now that I think about it I have been lurking around for almost ten. I just looked at pictures of some of my first attempts at making something custom

I even eventually figured out how to keep the living room clean and still hobby. All of these are Steves fault somehow. I had to build a giant fence so I could keep all the toys i have accumulated somewhere the city couldn't see them and write me outside storage tickets

This is social media, whereas the other is antisocial media, really.

Build Away!

I have done more with my bikes in the last 6 months than I have in years. I’ve acquired over 35 new bikes and built (or least done major work on) 8 bikes this year. My son and I built a bike together and my daughter and are one now. I’ve able to ride with the kids and my wife more this year than ever as well.
I hate this crap, but it has definitely brought some much needed quality time that I’ve neglected for a long time!

I haven’t actually sat down and thought about it until now, but I have built 9 bikes this year, instead of 8!
