I can see the red / purple flip fade in your photo. Wow, that is some big flake too!

Yeah I'm gonna out the caddy light under the seat between sissy bar rails. A little bulky off to the side just haven't drilled out the rest of the bar yet. Not sure about the crank yet. Re clearing the frame today so it's all disassembled. Have a few options laying around.
Found a yard sale bike with the crank I am going to use. It's solid with no cutouts so I can do some psycadelic 70s swirl paint or letter the name on it.

Painting the sprocket , cleaning the chrome , and final wet sanding and polishing of the paint. Only part left to secure ( I think) is a kickback bmx seat post to get that seat back just a taste and it will be time for final assembly and a test ride. My lime green pawn chopper has found a permanent home on the back of the camper for putting around at the car shows too!

Today I spent some time polishing the final wet sanded coat of clear on the build off bike. Almost ready to assemble for good this time !
Wife has been wanting a "garden" bike for a while so I knocked together an old girls frame and some junk parts and baskets for her. She loves it. Got a hot date tomorrow to get some flowers for it etc. She was excited that I finally got the hints .
Took an after dinner trip to Irvine Kentucky and grabbed an old no name ( corvair I think) tank bike and a really really well preserved 50s customliner she had her eyes on. Aired them up and went for a sunset ride not a bad day

A yard sale 2 dollar bike gave me the solid sprocket I've been after. Tryout out a few ideas for some sprocket art, began cobbling together a baseball bat holder, and remounted the 59 caddy light between the sissy bar, where all properly done 59 caddy lights are mounted on fictional retro muscle Frankenstein bikes ...

Still some paint polishing to do,a but after ten hour day at work and some major yard work nephew wanted to see how the bronze crank, painted sprocket, and hickory cross on the sissy bar were gonna look. Waiting for the white pedals , gold pimp chain , and kickback seat post to show up.

Finally got all the parts. Hopefully final assembly and a cruise this weekend. Went with white pedals , a pimped out gold chain, a kickback seat post to get that seat where it needs to be, and centered the caddy light between the sissy bar rails. Everything is wet sanded and compounded, ready for final rubbing as it goes back together to stay.
Going to wait for my nephew so he can get the first ride.
Budget wound up less than an off the shelf Wal Mart bike for a cool little fictional muscle bike by using free curb bikes , parts I had laying around, and really only buying new the soft items like the seat , grips , tires , tubes , etc.
Alright alright alright !

Finished up the last polishing of the paint and got the fork and front all assembled. Installed the seat and kick back seat post but it kicks everything back so far that if you sit proud on the seat the front tries to pop up. It puts the butt past the center point of the rear tire and makes a wheelie machine even just sitting still. So back to the straight post it'll go tomorrow. No biggie liking how the sprocket , white pedals , and copper arms look. Going to rethink the beehive light on the front and sleeve the "shifter arm" in copper tubing , a few details here and there and she will be done

That camper is freaking awesome!!!
Digging the gasser chopper vibe. Keep having fun man!

Got dazed and confused fully assembled and ridden tonight. Rides like a dream. Gonna slap it on the back of the old truck and take it to a show tomorrow night ! I'll do a good little daytime photo shoot this weekend.

Wanted to use some unlikely candidates and wrangle a fictional 70s style muscle bike out if it. Used a 20inch curb frame , a 26 inch beach cruiser fork , and a 16 inch yard sale wheel. A little paint and creativity and I'm very pleased. Came out with 100 bucks in it for basically new soft items ( seat , tires , grips , pedals , tubes , etc. ) Couldn't buy a Wal Mart bike for that and this one's definitely a unique cruiser.
