So much for downsizing...
Just last night I rescued this twisted lady from a roadside dump...
As it is a folder I couldn't resist. :)

For now she stays on the camping ground, but at home I have a fitting rim to relace the rear wheel. Than the frame needs to be straightened and another handlebar from my pile might suit her better than this ugly thing she's got now.

Had a few eggciting days:
A mayor disagreement with my cat on Sunday morning resulted in a bite in my hand and a few scratches...
On Sunday afternoon we had our big farewell party and yesterday was filled up with doctors appointments for me and the cat (the disagreement was about wether she should take the medicine or not), shopping and lots of paperwork...
But today I finally could squeeze in a few hours in the workshop... [emoji106]

So here comes my step-by-step:
First I had to connect the couplings, so I cut down a piece of 3/4" into two short "connectors"

Then I took some measurements

Then I needed to grind the inside of the couplings to make them a bit larger and the outside of the lower tube to reduce the diameter a tiny bit...

So the point of no return was reached: chopping time!
Started with the lower tube, then the top.

Now I needed to cut two rings from each middle part of the tubes:

The smaller ones will go into the ends of the downtube, the larger ones slip over the ends of the toptube (or into the couplings for the toptube) The rings might need some filing or even a bit of convincing with a mallet...

The last step is to fit the couplings on the ends of the tubes. Here as well some filing and grinding will be required. And a rubber mallet is very helpful (the tighter the fit, the better)

And we have a complete frame again:

That is soooooo cool!!!!!
Thanks for the step by step!!!!

Spent some time in the shop today to work out some little eggstras.
I did use inner tubes and bits left over from other projects to make me some useful straps and a carrying handle and put some reflectors on. The bike will be ridden in the city with the most bicycle accidents, so to be seen is important!

Might go for another fotoshoot, as I don't see THE one for the finished thread yet...
The third "pole-shot" could have made it, but the camera shutter wasn't fully open... :-(
I also made some videos, but have to edit them first...

Very nice! Looks completely functional for city life.:41:Maybe I missed it earlier, but what is the balled up tube hanging under the saddle?
completely meaningless decoration :)
