So don't paint it! One of the coolest things it has going for it is the patina frame. Throw the cool new parts at it and clear coat the frame.

Sorry to dig up an ancient thread, but I have the same frame and if I keep it, I'm planning to build it out BMX cruiser style too. Would love to see your final build.
