Need help with years and rough value of these bikes, couldn't find a good serial number lookup tool. I'll get some more close ups when I get them cleaned up but I figured this would get it started.

1) Gambles Hiawatha - no horn in tank
2) western flyer sonic flyer - tanks with lights

Thanks!

Welcome to the site!

They were both made by AMF who also made Roadmaster. The Hiawatha looks to be late 50's to early 60's, the flyer is late 60's, going by the chain rings and seat stems on both bikes. The Hiawatha seat stem tightens like a handlebar stem, an earlier feature of those AMF bikes. AMF didn't have a specific order to give a manufacturer date from the serial number.

They both look to be in good shape, I would guess they could go for a hundred to two hundred apiece if shined up and were ready to ride. The Hiawatha looks all original so it could bring a little more.

Thanks! The tires hold air and are pretty old, is better for value to leave them as is or throw some nice newer whitewalls on there?
