Actually it's in the middle of the Ocala National forest .

My first thought is that those don't look like Gary Fisher dropouts. Could it be a modified frame?

Single speeds are weird: every couple of years, a big manufacturer will build one. People will buy them because of the hype and then realize that it's a lot of work. The used market will be filled up, new models won't sell, and the model gets discontinued. And the cycle repeats.
