I have a mid-70s AMF scorcher light set and generator off the fully riding bike (full light set and aluminum rear rack)...which I got for free :rockout:. I know the rear light works and the rear light wiring is great (this bike sat outside for almost 12 years), but the generator isnt putting out ANY power or anything. The Multi-meter reads 0 even when Im furiously spinning the little gear piece. Is there anyway I could at-home rebuild it or send it somewhere. Advice is appreciated :praise:.

You had both the hot lead AND the ground lead on your Multi-meter making contact with the generator while you were spinning it? If so, it might be shot. 12 yrs. of moisture getting inside that thing probably didn't help it. Gary

Open it up and see if there is any obvious corrosion on the contacts and brushes inside. I don't know a lot about generators, but I have gotten little motors working that way.
