Our last A2 in stock, my friend wanted the bike with gears for the hilly terrain in his town. We start with a frame and Red Menace fork installed. There will be some tweaks to make it work as a klunker type bike as it currently has 110mm rear spacing.

Minimal Progress.

I must have 100 crates full of bike parts but finding some cranks with the right dish was a bear. I am using a mish mash of old and new parts.

Got the Thunder Chicken front D, good for a Klunker build because you can run housing right up to it as the bike has no cable guides...

Swapped out the stud on a brake so it could fit. I have a mess of thses radius brakes but they have the shorter stud for an allen sunk into the fork. Need old school for this old school type build.

Also have a mess of these adapters for the bb, they are all stamped wrong, this is why they were a buck each! :) Found that out the hard way....

Some Red Menace bars...

Wheel and tires on. I need to get the rest of the parts together to finish. Did an axle swap for rear wheel, need to add a spacer to center it and ad a gear cluster. So far, like the stance, going to be a nice looking bike. Need to get to polishing up some old bits next.

Looking real good! I used a Genuine Bicycle Product fork on my RRB build off entry, Mudd, the best piece of the whole bike (well maybe the valve caps). Keep the good stuff coming.

Got is all done toady. Swapped out plain jane stem of an Evil Ed stem. Messed around with the 3 piece cranks and bb interfaces too long and got nowhere so went back to good ol' one piece cranks for the win. 15 speeds, more than a "modern" mountain bike :). Enjoy and klunk on!
