Hey guys! Normally my thing is wrenching on cars, but lately I've been getting into bikes as well. (Mostly because they're a lot less expensive.) As such, I'm fairly new to the scene, and this seemed like a neat place to learn and get ideas.
Here's my current project, a USA-made 1997 Gary Fisher Mamba with a slightly hopped up 66cc China Girl and jackshaft kit. The bike's been in my family since new, and I'm so glad that I've been able to give it a second lease on life after it having languished disassembled in the garage for many years. Functionally, it's great, but aesthetically...I'm not so sure. It's already got that klunker vibe going but I can't shake the feeling that something's not quite right. If anyone has any suggestions, I would sincerely appreciate them. (Before anyone says anything, I'm already planning to swap that tank out; the silly shifter is probably going away too.)
Hope to learn a lot while I'm here!
