Maybe this time i can finish a buildoff. Been a couple of years since i posted a finished build.

Life catches up and you have no time... This build idea actually started weeks ago, but have had so many things going on. 60hr weeks, plus a very sick puppy, plus a bunch of other things have made this roller coaster of life quite the show.

Last fall, i broke dropouts on one of the frames i put together a few MBBOs ago. Was white, then blue with ghost darts, then braked hard one day and the rear dropout cracked and would no longer hold a wheel.

When a modified girls frame made into a mens fat bike fails, what todo with it...

I messed around with a few ideas and came up with a vision and started executing on it around the first of the month.

Ended up using another rear and ended up with this mockup a few nights later.

This bike is obese! A very strong start, sir!
Thanks Toro!
Seeing this amazing start caused me to lose my balance and fall down a flight of stairs!

Thanks :blackeye:

Very cool avatar also.
Your welcome, glad to help

Unfortunately your bike building skills are much better than your photographic capabilities, so I have to ask: Is that a Nexus 7 with a roller brake?
After a little staring and squinting, I can see something shimano with a roller brake back there... o_O
Pic was blurry because it was an afterthought for the zoom in on the first mockup.

It's an 8 speed internal. Custom cut/threaded the spokes with my friend Juan from Artistic a few months ago to fit the 100mm wheels. They've been hanging around collecting dust until the first of this month.

Good grief! Perfect time of year to bust it out.

What's the history on Skeletron?
Art Ramirez had designed a lot of cool custom frames. One of his Bombita frames was in last summer's buildoff https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink/to...&share_fid=77973&share_type=t&link_source=app

Skeletron has had a past that I'm not fully aware of the details, stolen once, then recovered... Her most recent chapter of life at Facebook group post. https://m.facebook.com/groups/689562944507126?view=permalink&id=1973239252806149

I was just looking at 7/8-1'' motorcycle bars for my build. Thought they might be for a motorbike. More variety and sturdy. 3 times the cost tho. Gotta keep looking for a deal.

The chain will rub against the tire in motion according to your photo. I've managed to redish wheels to get the chain around.

How about a extra deep dish like this one?

EDIT: too deep. Didn't catch the offset is 12mm.

I considered one of the deep dish three speed cogs until i realized the cable has to pass next to the sprocket to reach the shift mech on the hub.

I will need to get some chain sliders and route the chain inside the hoop to spin. half links are easier todo this with than a standard chain. I have a new gold pair around here somewhere...
