I have been following the site for a while before picking up a frame ind_chuckz in March and figured an intro post was overdue.
This will be the first bike I have owned in about 26 years.I have been trying to decide if I want to go more cruiser style with it or more of an early era mountain bike and think for this go around cruiser may be more straightforward to complete. Finishing is taking a bit as I am funding it with eBay sales but hopefully it will be rolling by May 1st

Welcome to the forum!

My recommendation is to build it so that it is comfortable and you actually enjoy riding it.

Sometimes we pick a style because it looks cool, but rides horribly.

Should be plenty of inspiration on the forum and FB Group.

Thanks. It is my daughter that is really making the decision a bit more difficult. She just learned to ride a bike and is getting more adventurous. I want to try and put some together to keep up with her for a while at least.

Welcome!
I agree with Steve, there’s nothing worse than a ‘cool’ bike that you can’t ride.
After all, that’s what they’re for right?

My advice, keep the first one simple.

You can tweak it as your skill/confidence improve.

Plus, we’re here for ya brother! [emoji1363]
