i built some tables at work the other day using our CNC router. You draw onthe computer and the CNC router cuts it out
I used a large "scrap" of black melamine. It was a cover sheet for delivery- one side was ruined by the forklift, the other was perfect.
The CNC makes it easy to put dado slots in the material, so i dadoed the legs to make 90 degree angles , as well as dadoes for the skirts and mounting the legs to the tops.
Everything worked out great, the extensions were exactly the same height and color as the existing counters. When my supervisor came in to check the installation, he had to ask what work i had done- ha
the CNC is fun, and I Love to watch it "dance"
