I haven’t been on the RRB forums for a few years, and I guess I’ve lost my touch on id’ing old bikes. I guess I should know what I have here. I’ve had the frame for some time, and just put it together for the Sacramento Cyclefest and just might throw it into the mix of the BBOXIV

Thanks in advance!

~Ron

Is that determined by the odd symbols?
Snyder bought into the Excelsior Michigan City plant in the 1930’s, perhaps about the time Sears started buying from Westfield.
We have seen stampings from about 1940 to later 1950’s with the format of “YYSN” or “YYEH”.
I believe that the “SN” and “EH” are place codes for Snyder Newyork and Excelsior Hawthorne.

So 64EH is likely a date-place code. A unique serial number may be located about 6 inches below the seat post clamp on the right hand side, in the format of “B012345” - a letter followed by 6 digits.
