Been cleaning and waxing on it to bring back the shine. I didn't realize how much of the white came of while doing so, it was really chalky. I freaked out at first but I think I actually like it better this way. It was gonna rub off when ridden anyway I suppose. Started cleaning on the wheels too, if you look to the right of the front wheel, I'm getting through the surface rust. I had it in the for sale section but it's changing a lot as I clean, decided that I'd see where it ends up. I love it, may just keep it.

I couldn't ever find anything about a strike. I did discover Murray, Sears' main supplier at the time, was building a new factory that year. -Adam

Spent some more time on this last night. Pulled the tanks, cleaned inside and out, waxed the frame underneath, basically working my way back from the front including the underside of the front fender. I'll be pulling the chain guard next and working on that area. I have this on the local Craigslist, can't believe it hasn't sold but I must admit, I'll be OK with hanging this one on the wall.
