Nice job on bending looks like you might have done it a few times.
Thanks! I manged to pull this off the first time! - I had just enough material for 3 , but somehow managed to get 2 matching ones right off

of course i am now unhappy with how I cut the fork I am using for the headset, so I will have redo that- but I have too much work into this now to use a piece I am not confident in.

$62.00 shipped is starting to seem pretty reasonable for bent springers at this point, but i do like making stuff!

I love when builders do handleborks.

I am getting close to complete, but haven't posted any pictures
"borks" totally worked out, but I went cruiser when i shoulda gone ape

I think i may just cut and x-tend-o the handle bars, rather than make a THIRD set of forks- up up and away!

Got busy for a few weeks, but that is a good thing! I think the bike is purt-near done, but here are a few images of my last few steps

Handleborks came out great, but needed some support on the bottom of the head, check last picture to see the installation of the neck and bar. (I ultimately added cross rod, too), seat supports
Handleborks follow the line of the bike

oh yeah, I painted the frame green

Those handlborks are a blast!

SO... Those handleborks while swept back in a cool and cruisier-y way
turn out to be way too in the way, and even more so due to the lever-y way the 'borks do their thing- the headset is the fulcrum wak!! right in the knee

Plus while I am liking the look, and they match the slammed vibe, there's just something about apes... But i like the through-ness of the h-borks so i decided to try a hi-rise insert kind of thing,

I cut off the handle portion, right where the bend ended and bent up my new handles. I cut four(4) 1-1/2 "slits in the end of my new handles and inserted them into the old 'borks. The idea is like a self contained slug. The last image shows what they look like after i knocked 'em into the reciever
i like how it came out, even though it is not one piece

Cool bike, what are the extra chainrings for? Are they attached to anything or do they roll in place when you ride it? And what is the second chain tho the other bottom bracket for?
Excuse my curiosity.

The "floating" chain rings tension the chain, and the big one makes the chain clear the blue forks, It would just clear with out it, like by half an inch...

I just thought it would be fun to fill in the "extra" bottom bracket and make it go, y'know? !

Plus I just found 'em funny/cool

Seeing you on the bike, I can totally see that the previous setup wasn't practical. The apes look great and should be way more functional.
